Our buddy Skeet Skeet was nice enough to host up two brand new remixes of my track Flying Rats! Curtis Vodka made a full on banger and Dstar made an italo influenced sort of relaxed dutch lead track. Both are awesome and both are available for a free download from Skeet’s site right here:
“Crossfaded Bacon is very proud to present Brother Reade’s *THE DRAMA EP* and its profound look into the eccentric present/future of music while remaining deeply indebted to its past influences and traditions.”
Featuring remixes by Philly legend Emynd, BxB’s own Them Jeans, and Scott Matelic.
You can find the track list and 10 minute promo mix after the jump.
I did a bassline remix of this song. Enjoy the photos from someones strange, possibly Indonesian vaycay. I feel that it may actually hurt my career as a dj for putting this out, but fugg it.
This track was originally called ” Weezer Riddim, ” based off the fact that I borrowed the main bassline from Weezer ” Only in Dreams. ” You can listen to that here, it will remind you of high school. It’s a straight instrumental track, with the exception of a surprise snippet from our own Jams F. I had to take the word ” weezer ” out of the title because dim mak and RCRDLBL graciously released it for free.
I just finished up a quick little drum edit for The XX ” Shelter. ” I feel like after doing that yeah yeah yeah’s remix, I’m sort of destined to make mellow remixes of softly sung female indie rock. Anyway here you go. You can check out the original track here and grab my remix down there.
Dazed Digital is hosting the premier of the 3-D video version of my track Freak-A-Zoid Robotz. They also included a quick interview.
Great minds think alike. This month, as Dazed releases the Another Dimension 3D issue, the progressive Echo Park-based hip hop producer Bobby Evans sees his robotic electro smash Freak-A-Zoid Robots twisted through a retro 80’s time warp with a 3D video. Directed by Marcus Herring (who recently worked with Roman Coppola on an intimate Sebastien Tellier film) as part of the Delicious Vinyl family, it’s Weird Science meets an Electroma neon escapade. Bobby Evans is also still working on new material with the creative mic talents of Jams F Kennedy, as LA low end rap duo Brother Reade (you must check 2007’s Rap Music, one of the best hip hop debut albums of recent years) as well as flexing his art and design skills with OBEY.
If you haven’t already make sure to grab fellow Bad Beat fam Them Jeans’ remix of Freak-A-Zoid.
The full interview and video are at Dazed Digital.

The White Light mix series asked me to be number 8 in their collection of very awesome mixes. When people ask to explain, I tell them it’s when club dj’s get to make a mix of more chilled out dance tunes, definitely adhering to the spacey vibe, and semi-trippy artwork. It’s definitely the easiest and most natural mix I’ve ever made. I hope yall enjoy, track list after the jump.
