Deep Fried Butter FTW September 8th, 2009

The Big Tex Choice Awards is like the Superbowl for Fair Foods. All entries must be new to the Texas State Fair and food is judged on most creative and best tasting. Previous award winners have been Fried Coke and Chicken Fried Bacon, pushing the limits to what can’t be successfully fried and made more infinitely awesome.

This year Abel Gonzalez Jr. took home the prize for Most Creative for his dish, Deep Fried Butter. Pure butter is whipped, then injected with different flavors, surrounded by dough and fried.
