for the last couple months i’ve been djing some little raves in san bernardino, anywhere from 500-1000 shitty 16 year olds. promoters are pretty cool dudes, i show up go straight to the stage, dj, get paid, and go straight back to my car. i’m probably not gonna be doing these anymore.
anyways, i’ve never really had a chance to see what kind of crowd i’ve been playing to. i fished around and found some amazing photos.
These are all photos of food I’ve eaten over the last few months, some I cooked myself, some I didn’t. Funny to see the progression of pork chops and mac n chz to tofu and arugula.
We are exceeded by our pride and excitement. Cali Dewitt, whose blog teenage teardrops has been an inspiring implementation of a world that is possible and better than the one we think we live in, is now doing a weekly photo collection on the huffington post here. Go Bros!
I’m a little too excited for this. I really wasn’t interested in Earth, but I’m more than ready to geek out on my love for sea-life on this one. It’s time for another movie like this, not sure if I could take another pre-apocalyptic, apocalyptic, post-apocalyptic movie.
During a meeting of the United Nations this past September in New York, staff photographer for the New Yorker, Platon had set up a make shift studio adjacent to the floor in the General Assembly and lured nearly 50 of the world’s leaders to sit for him. In an interactive portfolio of these photographs on the New Yorker’s website, Platon recalls candid memories of the five day stakeout, and provides his commentary on shooting each subject.
Capturing images of leaders such as Muammar Qaddafi, Barack Obama and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Platon’s descriptions of the varied reactions to each shoot offers a glimpse into the personalities of each individual and the cultural differences amongst them.
