for the last couple months i’ve been djing some little raves in san bernardino, anywhere from 500-1000 shitty 16 year olds. promoters are pretty cool dudes, i show up go straight to the stage, dj, get paid, and go straight back to my car. i’m probably not gonna be doing these anymore.
anyways, i’ve never really had a chance to see what kind of crowd i’ve been playing to. i fished around and found some amazing photos.

It’s On With Alexa Chung on MTV has officially come to an end as the enigmatic British host announced last week that the show will not be returning for another season. The enigmatic British sensation will be heavily missed by all of us here at Badbeat. No further news about the enigmatic British sweetheart’s future has been announced, but we are hoping for the sake of sanity that she returns soon whether it’d be on MTV, film, or taking over

Tomorrow night Friday the 11th i am playing with one of my favorite producers (maybe even of all time) Wolfgang Gartner at Avalon Hollywood’s CONTROL. The dude is a monster with too many Beatport top 10 releases. Dude’s about to be as big if not bigger than Deadmau5 and Benny Benassi and the likes… for real doggggggg
Also gettin sexy is one of my long time homies Mr. White who never fails to impress the dance floor, as well as Audrey Napoleon an up and coming dj vixen who’s been jazzin up the LA dj circuit.
So you better be there pussiesssssssssssss

Maybe 2 or 3 years ago i was searching for
Kid 606 tunes and ended up listening to the tracks posted on the
Tiger Bass myspace page and came across the fresh and inventive sounds of
L-Vis 1990. Shit blew my mind. Still blows my mind. I also fell in love with
Curses who i later found out was a dude named Luca that i had met at a Brooklyn party called
Trouble & Bass yada yada yada this isn’t a entry about Drop the Lime and bass and shit and party and fish and chips…
Apparently he’s over the “hyper bass” sound that he created. My most recent gathering of L-Vis’s music comes in form of that UK Funky shit titled “Murder.” Can’t remember if i bought it on Beatport or got it off some other blog but whatever, it’s tight dog. Also included is one of my favorites of his old shizzz titled “Stay Together,” and his flip on La Roux’s hit “In for the Kill.”
RIP Hyper Bass. Baby i will love you and miss you foreva

This is a song called “My Bitch” by a dude named Dark Knight. I can’t find any info on him cause A.) His named is Dark Knight and when i google him all i can find is Batman shit, and B.) Boomkat, the label that put out this record, is also the name of
Taryn Manning’s music project or some shit. Oh wait and C.) i’m just terrible with the internet so i stopped researching. I actually came across something that said Dark Knight is also
Dirty South but i will need major confirmation on that before i post such a claim. Anyways, Dark Knight’s “My Bitch” is amazing. On that UK Funky tip. I made some stupid looking artwork above. Skull Bongos.
Tragedy August 11th, 2009

This is a song called “Not Fucking Fodder” by a band called
Tragedy. I kinda got into them cause i was kinda into
His Hero Is Gone. Also cause they had awesome artwork as shown above. “Not Fucking Fodder” reminds me of Sgt. Slaughter (the G.I. Joe character) and for some reason the first time i saw
Planes Mistaken For Stars
