From Tom McCarthy (Patchwork Pirates, Fabric, Earnest Endeavours), a highly selective mix of ambient tunes. “Some diff ish for a Sunday (or any day when you’ve not much to do.)”
I did a remix for the turntable lab affiliated super group Da Hardy Boyz. Although I think they might be changing their name due to legal reasons, which doesn’t seem so bad until I realized the song I remixed is called ” Hardy Time. ” The boyz are all about bathrobes, hard drugs and preserving that special sound you can only get from a 909 and a buttload of reverb. I got the EP at WMC last year, it makes me laugh every time I listen to it. The remix should be coming out in a month or two or three with a whole slew of other people. I went for a bouncy house vibe with a sort of cheesy lead but whatevs. Check the preview here bro: Da Hardy Boyz -Hardy Time (Them Jeans RMX) by Them Jeans

“Egyptian antiquities chief Zahi Hawass says the results of two years of tests on famous Egyptian mummies show boy king Tutankhamun died of malaria.
Hawass points out King Tut was a sickly man, with a cleft palate and a club foot, which forced him to walk with a cane. He attributes Tut’s health problems to genetic deformations caused by the marriage of his father Akhenaten to his sister, the younger lady mummy, whose name is not known.”

Ancient mysteries don’t pop up everyday, nonetheless solving them, that’s about right next to finding missing links. But every so often, in the middle of all the every day news stories and apocalyptic prophesies of the future, there are little gems of mystery still left.
Hearing things like this just makes me feel like a kid again, it makes me feel that there are still amazing things we have yet to uncover – you just feel so small and in awe of humanity.
My first EP is finally out! I made BEEF back in May of last year and just kinda sat on it. Sent it over to Emil at Crossfaded Bacon and he was jazzed, so I had Dan Oh and Bobby Evans remix it, and I cranked out one more original called Flying Rats. I’ve been getting lots of great support from everyone so if you’d like to buy it, please do! you can grab the whole EP on itunes for only $1.99. You can also grab free mp3’s of Emil’s Beef remix, and Flying rats right here:
