Leave Nothing to Waste September 1st, 2009

I love pigs. I’ve sampled my share of various foods made from pig’s heads, intestines, blood, feet, etc but my knowledge of products that are actually made from pigs is quite limited. Paint? Marshmellows? Ammunition?

Christien Meindertsma has documented the life of pig growing up on a Dutch farm in his latest project Pig 05049, and has put together a book that looks at all the products made from this pig and has set up an installation with products and information of what parts of the pig contributed to each item.
